My passion for marble is a gift from nature.

Getting to know our CEO is key to understanding Kanak Marble’s U.N.I.Q.U.E. marbles and values.

 

Born in Saharanpur, India, in the State of Uttar Pradesh, close to Haridwar, an ancient City of the Ganges River.

 

At a tender age his family moved to New Delhi where he lived until finding the need to build his life path, he chose Moscow (Russia) as his first destination, spending over a decade mastering the fast-paced world of international trade.

 

After exploring Guinea-Bissau and Angola, these two destinations served as a bridge to Portugal, known as a highly popular Tourism destination.

 

With that in mind he spent his first decade immersing himself in Lisbon’s hospitality industry, where he developed a series of successful businesses.

 

This era was about more than just business—it was where he fell in love with the Portuguese culture, the importance of undestanding the clients needs, and a standard of quality that would eventually become the hallmark of his future ventures.

 

A major turning point came in 2017, with the historical alliance between India and Portugal, when the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, opened a new era of trade between the two nations.

 

Leveraging his deep connections with the India’s leading marble and granite companies, he began forging partnerships with the legendary quarries of Vila Viçosa, Alentejo and opened a small stockyard in Pero Pinheiro – Lisbon.

 

But as the years went by, he realized that marble was no longer just a business but a passion, becoming fascinated by one of nature’s purest masterpieces.

 

This passion motivated a bigger interest.

 

Searching for a truly U.N.I.Q.U.E. site he found W Stone quarries, an amazing and historical site, founded by the Cochicho family over 50 years ago, offering the absolute finest natural stone there is.

Today, Kanak Marble and W Stone are not just names—they are global benchmarks for excellence.
